The university supply of spray-skirts is dwindling rapidly due to the effects of chlorine from the pool. I believe there are only 3 or 4 functioning ones left. I use the term functioning loosely. If you are planning on using university equipment, you may wish to bring along a spray-skirt.

Brook high school
Where: Brooke High School Swimming Pool
Brooke High School is located north of Wellsburg just before getting to Follansbee.
Turn at the light by the Dollar General Store – signs for Brooke HS are prevalent.
Drop boats near the main entrance to the pool – stay on walks, don’t drag in any unnecessary dirt.. Details of how best to enter will be available at the door.
Be sure your equipment is clean. Stage on the pool deck, then get ready in the locker rooms.
Day / Time:
Starting: Tuesday, February 4, 2014; then every Tuesday evening – 7:30 PM to 9 PM
Sessions: Feb 4, 11, 18, 25; Mar 4, 11, 18, 25 Apr 1, 8, 15, longer as needed. Ten (10) sessions total (estimate one or more cancel from above due to weather or breaks)
Date changes subject to occur
Brooke Spring Break is around 4/2, so that session may not happen.
Cost / Funds: $20 for the season or $5 per session
But we also need to apply for American Canoe Assoc. (ACA) member insurance (same as the TRPC clinics).
This cost is $15 for the season or $5 per session.
(we will have to pay two (2) lifeguards at $10/hour, so please try to attend and pay for the season)
Total season cost then would be $35. Buying a season pass is the best value and highly encouraged for administration of this plan.
Equipment: Having your own equipment is ideal.
If you are a beginner, let me know and I’ll work on getting something for you to use or rent.
Format: Same as always, practice your skills then seek out those needing help.
